Historians widely accept JESUS's existence. Non-Christian evidence, such as archeological evidence, points out that what has been known for generations corresponds to events that took place and are recorded in the Bible during the story of JESUS's birth, life, and resurrection. We will provide you with the relevant, valid evidence that you need to examine and decide for yourself what this means.
Historians widely accept JESUS’s existence. Non-Christian evidence, such as archeological evidence, points out that what has been known for generations corresponds to events that took place and are recorded in the Bible during the story of JESUS’s birth, life, and resurrection. We will provide you with the relevant, valid evidence that you need to examine and decide for yourself what this means. For most, this means that there is God who created all that you see around you. We will provide you with all the “small” things that exist to show that Jesus lived and died. The accumulation of all the small things will show you a picture of something truly amazing that will change you and your life for the better.
Who was JESUS? Obviously, we cannot call his agent and have a sit-down with him. So, the next best thing, 2900 plus years later, is to take the Bible and its historical content and see if those details can be seen in the discoveries verified by archaeology or other accepted proof. This will then bring life to what you are reading in the Bible. This makes it more real to us. We, as people, need to see viewable evidence to make things really real for us. You need to consider whether you are an individual like this or if you take everything with blind faith. For things to make sense to you, if you see the actual proof, are you more convinced than a text message or a rumor you read on social media?
It is much harder to see that proof actually exists that Jesus really did exist and died, we all at some point in our lives before we accepted HIM as LORD and SAVIOR, hoped this was not true. After you see that the facts and evidence are in fact true, you will have to deal with the decisions that come afterward. Will you accept JESUS as your LORD and SAVIOR, or will you blow HIM off and continue down the wide road? That will, as always, will be up to you, Freewill.
We all will make some critical decisions in our lives to make it more livable; we can do that with stacks, and we need to make our lives eternal. There is a massive difference between making a life livable and eternal. If you need help with making sure that facts are true, we can provide that for you, too. We will show you and tell you how much better your life will be with Jesus when you start to think eternal instead of living for the now. Again, it’s your call.
The journey of truth is not easy. You will be required to think and logically put the pieces together to get the big picture, which will help you reach a conclusion. When we change our view from the vertical to the horizontal, the picture becomes more focused and clearer, making the decision easier.
Be ready for the truth; sometimes the truth hurts.
Did Herod have an issue?
Who was Herod? Would he even do something like this to innocent male children? Who were only 2 years old and under? What issue would you have with two-year-old male children? Historical records show Herod was capable of ordering the killing of babies and toddlers, and this aligns with his personality. The main source about his life comes from Josephus, a Jewish historian. While Josephus doesn’t mention the Bethlehem massacre from the Bible, he does describe many violent acts Herod ordered. These include political murders, executions, and even large-scale killings during his rule.
Note the following evidence:
- Herod executed his own family members, including his wife and sons, over suspicion of betrayal. (His sons Alexander, Aristobulus IY, and Antipater II).
- He became increasingly paranoid and cruel in his later years, leading to brutal decisions. (Herod also burned to death several Judeans for removing a golden eagle from the temple and ordered the mass killing of influential citizens in the event of his death.)
- Josephus notes Herod’s harsh punishments for anyone he saw as a threat to his power. Herod the Great killed his own sons when he thought they were trying to take his throne. This shows a pattern: he used extreme violence to stop anyone who might threaten his power. Herod’s paranoia and cruelty—like executing family members—make the story believable. Both actions aimed to eliminate potential rivals, even if one involved innocent male children.)
Though the Bethlehem story isn’t in historical records, Herod’s pattern of violence makes it believable that he would act this way. It is particularly relevant that Herod ordered the executions of three of his own sons during the period of 7-4 BC, which was the approximate time Herod would have also ordered the killing of the male children in the Bethlehem area (Josephus, Antiquities 16.392-404).
Check for yourself that these facts are TRUE; this is information you need to know that is true.
